If you're anything like me, sometimes you get tied up in the "the world."
You know, the people. The chatter. The comparison and delusional misconceptions. You try hard to keep your eyes fixed upon The Gaze, but if we would be honest with one another, we all fail to steer clear of the world and its overwhelming loops and traps.
Just today, I received a subtle reminder that although we live in this ever-changing world and feel bound by its gravitational pulls, we are not to view ourselves as part of the world.
Now, to be honest and transparent again, those words and one simple act seem easy enough, but how difficult is the notion to remove yourself from the world when it's so constant and seemingly contagious?
During morning devotional time, I was reminded of 3 self-checks that help with testing our intentions and heart posture while in our temporary place of residence:
Am I being entertained by sin?
Are my acts pleasing to God?
Does my involvement lure me away from Christ?
If you are testing yourself, and the answer is no you are tracking with The Maker- you're steering clear of the world. If your answers to any of the above questions is yes, consider inviting God on the inside to guard and protect you. Then you'll see that protection manifest outwardly. You'll begin to find comfort in turning within, and you'll nestle safely there... A place away from the world.
Test yourself often... #ManifestationsMadeVisible #MMV
